Dylan Smith's Profile
Dylan Smith is a vice president and senior economist at Rosenberg Research. He leads the day-to-day work of the economics team, focusing on developing the firm’s regular daily insights, thematic research, and long-term conviction views. He also hosts the firm’s weekly podcast, the Rosenberg Roundup. Mr. Smith brings a broad range of experience in global economics and markets to Rosenberg Research. He came from McKinsey & Co., where he concentrated his consulting practice on the public finance, asset management, and private funds industries in North America. He also provided regular macroeconomic advice and expertise to clients and senior partners. Prior to McKinsey, Mr. Smith spent six years as an economist in Goldman Sachs’ Global Investment Research unit in London, U.K. At Goldman, he covered Western European economies and led the development of the division’s real-time forecasting systems. Later, he was responsible for building out Goldman’s research coverage of emerging Africa. Mr. Smith holds an MPhil in Economics from Oxford University, where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar.
